Job summary

FirstHealth of the Carolinas is seeking an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our rehabilitation team in a multidisciplinary setting. You will provide skilled nursing and outpatient rehab, deliver high-quality patient care, and contribute to program development and collaboration across disciplines.

Strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and dedication to patient-centered outcomes are required.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written to ensure clear patient/caregiver collaboration.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment with resilience and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to assess risk and make decisions rapidly.
  • Problem solving is essential as no two treatment plans are the same; craft solutions specific to patient needs.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with Occupational Therapists regarding plan of care progression.
  • Implement interventions and education per POC within the COTA scope.
  • Recommend adaptive or durable medical equipment to maximize safe independence in daily living.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to support hospital mission and values.
  • Document and bill accurately.

Join our exceptional rehabilitation team in a multidisciplinary skilled nursing and short-term rehabilitation setting. We are seeking a motivated Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant with skilled nursing rehabilitation experience who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and making a meaningful impact on the lives of others.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include and are not limited to:



  • Communicating with Occupational Therapists regarding plan of care progression

  • Implementation of interventions and education in line with POC and within the COTA scope of practice

  • Making recommendations for adaptive equipment or durable medical equipment to help patients reach their highest level of safe independence in activities of daily living

  • Working with interdisciplinary team to meet the needs of the patients while supporting the hospital's mission and values

  • Documenting and billing appropriately


Qualifications

  • NC OT or COTA License Required.
