Job summary

Aspire Educational Services (AES) is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join a partner school as an independent contractor for director services or evaluations only, part-time.

You will conduct evaluations, develop IEP-aligned treatment plans, collaborate with the educational team, install classroom equipment, and prepare progress reports. Candidates must have a Master’s in OT, PA OT license, liability insurance, PreK-12 experience, background checks, and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students' functional abilities, sensory processing, and fine motor skills.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' specific needs and help them achieve their educational goals in accordance with their IEP.
• Collaborate with other members of the student's education team to provide comprehensive care.
• Installing the necessary equipment in the classroom for students with disabilities and teaching them how to use the equipment.
• Observe & assess students’ progress and prepare detailed reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university.
• Pennsylvania Occupational Therapist License.
• Proof of professional liability insurance.
• Experience in a PreK-12 school setting.
• Possible Covid-19 testing and/or vaccination required by school.
• Valid Driver’s License, proof of registration and insurance.
• Must have current (or be able to clear) required state and federal background checks and relevant clearances.
