Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Irmo is seeking an Occupational Therapist to deliver compassionate, evidence-based therapy and lead individualized care plans for rehabilitation patients.

You will assess patient needs, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and celebrate progress as patients regain independence. A state license and CPR are required; a Master’s degree is preferred or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• CPR certification.
• Master's Degree preferred, or Bachelor's Degree plus sufficient experience in the field.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care to patients in need of occupational therapy.
• Guiding patients by supervising care and treatments, leading patient assessments, creating personalized care plans, and targeting and resolving patient concerns.
• Building meaningful relationships with patients by dedicating time to understand their physical, mental, and emotional needs for a successful recovery.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.
