Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a Supplemental Occupational Therapist to assess patients, develop and initiate treatment plans, and document progress for continued care. Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Occupational Therapy and a Texas OT license, with a preference for at least one year of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university-based program.
• License: Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners license required.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Demonstrates ability and willingness to mentor/train staff or supervise clinical interns.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients and develops a comprehensive plan of care.
• Implements an occupational therapy treatment program and provides advanced treatments.
• Supervises assistants and rehabilitation technicians.
• Documents appropriately in the medical record and completes other documentation duties.
• Acts as a clinical resource to staff and committees within the department.
• Promotes departmental goals and participates in community service or professional education.
