Job summary

Madison-Champaign Educational Service Center is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide assessment, consultation, and therapeutic interventions to help students reach their fullest potential in the educational setting. OTAs encouraged to apply.

You will partner with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success. Typical duties include evaluations, individualized therapy plans, direct services, IEP collaboration, and assistive technology

Qualifications

  • Valid Ohio Occupational Therapist Board License.
  • Appropriate Ohio licensure/certification for school-based practice.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, educators, and related service providers.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel between multiple school locations.
  • Successful completion of required criminal background checks and fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and interpret assessment results.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans and interventions.
  • Provide direct therapy services and consultation to students, families, and school staff.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student achievement and participation.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Recommend and adapt equipment, assistive technology, and environmental modifications.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation and compliance records.
  • Promote inclusive educational practices and support students in the least restrictive environment.
  • Travel to assigned schools within the Madison-Champaign ESC service area.

The Madison-Champaign Educational Service Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to provide assessment, consultation, and therapeutic intervention services that help students reach their fullest potential in the educational setting. Occupational Therapy Assistants are also encouraged to apply. What You'll Do
