Job summary

About this position

The occupational therapist evaluates, establishes treatment programs and provides individualized compassionate care to customers. The goal of care is to prevent, correct, or alleviate disability, as well as to educate the customer/family about their role in the plan of care. The occupational therapist functions is a part of the interdisciplinary treatment team, and collaborates with other caregivers with the goal of providing high quality customer care. The occupational therapist also participates in department decision‑making, improvement activities, and projects designed to improve customer care standards in the department.

Requirements

Education

• Baccalaureate or Master's degree from an AOTA accredited school of occupational therapy.

Experience

• Experience in one of the clinical areas essential - may be from fieldwork experiences
• Demonstrated verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Licensure/Certification

• Licensed to practice in the State of MN - State Requirement
• Current NBCOT certification or certification eligible - NMHC Standard
• Current BLS certification or completion of certification during orientation period - NMHC Standard
• Must possess current class D driver's license in state of residency with an acceptable driving record if driving to alternate locations - NMHC Standard
• Must provide annual proof of insurance per hospital policy if driving to alternate locations - NMHC Standard

Salary Range: N22 ($37.49 - $56.23), based on experience

Shift Differential: Compensation may include shift differential pay depending on the position and shift worked.
