Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services as outlined in students’ IEPs or Section 504 plans.
  • Conduct assessments of motor, visual-motor, and sensory-motor skills for students referred for evaluation.
  • Participate in IEP/Section 504 meetings, providing input on assessment measures, intervention strategies, and student progress.
  • Collaborate with the special education team to deliver comprehensive services.
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, parents, and stakeholders regarding students’ physical, motor, and sensory development.
  • Work with teachers to integrate occupational therapy goals into classroom activities.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate occupational therapy interventions.
  • Design adaptive equipment for individual students and classrooms.
  • Maintain accurate records of student caseloads and progress.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development.
  • Participate in school initiatives, screenings, and parent meetings as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
