Responsibilities

The Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA, OTA) in Home Health provides occupational therapy to patients in their homes, aiming to restore their physical abilities. You will perform duties following policies, procedures, and the established care plan.

  • Follow all state-specific laws governing occupational therapy in home care, adhering strictly to the treatment plan set by the supervising OT.
  • Instruct and assist patients in evidence-based treatments within your scope and according to state laws.
  • Observe, record, and report patient responses and changes to the supervising OT, nurse, and/or physician. Coordinate care with other healthcare team members as appropriate.
  • Educate patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members in therapy-related areas within your scope.
Education and Experience

License Requirements

  • Current OTA licensure in Oregon
  • Current CPR certification
  • Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation
