Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant on a PRN basis. The OTA will work under the direct supervision of the occupational therapist responsible for a specific patient's care and will implement treatment modalities and procedures outlined in the plan.

This role supports patients cared for by rehab staff, students, and observers and includes orientation and ongoing guidance to assigned staff.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• No experience required.
• Georgia COTA license or current compact privileges upon hire.
• BLS certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of the occupational therapist, provide OT modalities and treatment procedures per the treatment plan.
• Assist care for patients treated by rehabilitation staff, students, and observers; provide orientation and ongoing guidance to assigned staff.

Functions under the direct supervision of the occupational therapist responsible for a specific patient's care. The certified occupational therapist assistant assumes responsibility and accountability for providing occupational therapy modalities and treatment procedures as determined by a treatment plan established by an occupational therapist. Responsible for the care of patients treated by rehabilitation technicians, students, and observers. Responsible for orientation and ongoing guidance of assigned staff.
