Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant for PRN coverage to support rehabilitation services in Columbus, GA.

The role works under the direct supervision of an occupational therapist, providing modalities and treatments per the plan, and caring for patients with rehab staff and observers. Licensure as COTA in GA and BLS are required. This position offers collaborative teamwork and opportunities to gain hands-on experience in a busy acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree from an approved Occupational Therapist Assistant Program Required
• No experience required
• COTA - Occupational Therapy Assistant Certification; current licensure in Georgia or compact privileges When Hire Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support certification through AHA Upon Hire Required

Responsibilities

• Functions under the direct supervision of the occupational therapist responsible for a specific patient’s care.
• Provides occupational therapy modalities and treatment procedures as determined by a treatment plan established by an occupational therapist.
• Responsible for the care of patients treated by rehabilitation technicians, students, and observers.
• Responsible for orientation and ongoing guidance of assigned staff.
