Ahava Therapy Services provides Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapy services. We are committed to providing innovative care to our patients through teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration utilizing evidence-based therapies designed to address each patient's needs. We aim to maximize our patients' potential while improving their quality of life.

We hire therapists who share our vision, working diligently to restore function while preventing further decline in patients' ability to perform daily meaningful tasks. This person must demonstrate strong observation skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work closely with others in a manner essential to delivering the highest level of care to all patients.

We are hiring a PRN COTA for Cordova Wellness and Rehab Center, a 242-bed facility with short-term, long-term rehab, and outpatient services. This facility is located in the East Memphis area.
Responsibilities
  1. Provide occupational therapy treatments to residents according to the occupational therapist's treatment plans.
  2. Assist the Occupational Therapist when performing tests, evaluations, and complex treatment procedures.
  3. Observe, record, and report to the therapist the conditions, reactions, and responses related to assigned duties.
  4. Maintain daily records of treatments and document treatment and progress notes on residents as directed.
  5. Assist the therapist in consulting with family members, physicians, and other health care professionals.
  6. Assist with the care of the occupational therapy department and equipment.
  7. Assist with in-service programs and other meetings as assigned.
  8. Access continuing education opportunities appropriate to discipline and responsibilities to maintain clinical currency.
  9. Act in compliance with Ahava Therapy Services' regulatory and professional standards and guidelines.
  10. Attend and participate in, or provide information for rehabilitation team conferences regarding resident progress, problems, or needs.
  11. Adhere to company and facility policies and procedures and participate in facility quality improvement and safety programs.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
  13. Understand reimbursement by various payers and allocate therapy resources efficiently by resident goals and outcomes related to discharge destination.
  14. Knowledge of OBRA regulations, HIPAA, Local Coverage Determination, and third-party reimbursement guidelines.
  15. Support the company's mission and vision and project a professional image.
  16. Independently perform duties and recognize situations where direct supervision is needed; willingly help others.
  17. Maintain the expected productivity level that has been discussed and is expected for your position at your particular facility/facilities.
Qualifications
  1. Graduate of an approved Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  2. Current license or eligible for support under statutes in the state of practice.
  3. Must have BLS CPR certification upon hire or obtained during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.
