Job summary

Responsibilities

• Report and discuss patient status during consultations with the Occupational Therapist.
• Confer with Occupational Therapist prior to initiating change in an established treatment program.
• Administer patient treatment based upon established evaluation or reassessment.
• Complete required documentation in a timely fashion; maintain productivity at department standard.
• Delegate appropriate tasks to unlicensed personnel; participate in case management of patient’s rehabilitation services.
• Perform non-clinical tasks and demonstrate work habits to support effective daily operation.
• Participate in one to two departmental, hospital, or community programs/meetings; teach, orient, train, supervise, and mentor co-workers, new employees, volunteers, observers, and at least one student annually.

• Part-Time: 20 hours per week

Under The General Supervision Of The Department Supervisor In Rehabilitation Services And According To Established Policies And Procedures, The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant Will

• Report/discuss patient’s status during consultation with Occupational Therapist; take initiative in communicating patient changes and scheduling consultations in a timely manner
• Confer with Occupational Therapist prior to initiating change in an established treatment program
• Administer patient treatment based upon established evaluation or reassessment
• Complete required documentation in a timely fashion; maintain productivity at department standard
• Delegate appropriate tasks to unlicensed personnel; participate in case management of patient’s rehabilitation services
• Perform non-clinical tasks and demonstrate work habits to support effective daily operation
• Participate in one to two departmental, hospital, or community programs/meetings; teach, orient, train, supervise, and mentor co-workers, new employees, volunteers, observers, and at least one student annually.

Education:
