Job summary

Inglewood Healthcare Center is seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant to support residents with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal needs. You will work within an interdisciplinary team and help implement care plans.

Salary ranges from $85,280 to $104,000 per year, with PRN/on-call duties and a sign-on bonus. PTO and referral bonuses are offered to qualifying staff.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One year of clinical experience preferred; new grads welcome.
• Current California OT Assistant license.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Administers tests and measurements for strength, range of motion, and respiration.
• Provides direct clinical care per established care plan.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Assists patients with tools and treatments for specific needs.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
• May conduct home assessments with OT/PT guidance.

• ccupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Assists the patient with tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment, along with the OT/PT as needed.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant issued by the state of California.
