Salary based on full-time employment and max productivity: $55,000 to $65,000 per year.

Responsibilities

The Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA, OTA) in Home Health provides occupational therapy to patients in their homes, aiming to restore their physical abilities. Duties are performed following policies, procedures, and the established plan of care.

• Follow all state-specific laws related to occupational therapy in home care and adhere to the treatment plan set by the supervising OT.
• Instruct and assist patients with evidence-based treatments within the scope of practice, according to state laws.
• Observe, document, and report patient responses and condition changes to the supervising OT, nurse, or physician. Coordinate care with the healthcare team as appropriate.
• Educate patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members about therapy within the OTA scope.

Education and Experience

License Requirements

• Current OTA licensure in the state of practice
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation
