Salary based on full-time employment and maximum productivity: $55,000 to $65,000 per year.

Responsibilities

The Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA, OTA) in Home Health provides occupational therapy to patients in their homes to restore their physical abilities. The OTA performs duties in accordance with policies, procedures, and the established plan of care.

• Follow all state-specific laws governing occupational therapy in home care and adhere to the treatment plan set by the supervising OT.
• Instruct and aid patients in evidence-based treatments within the scope of practice and according to state laws.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment and changes in condition to the supervising OT, nurse, and/or physician. Coordinate care with the healthcare team as appropriate.
• Instruct patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare team members in therapy areas within the OTA's scope.

Education and Experience

License Requirements

• Current OTA licensure in the state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation.
