Job summary

Progressive Rehab Solutions seeks a qualified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support an Occupational Therapist in long-term care settings. You will implement treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, balance, and independence, while traveling to patient sites as needed.

Responsibilities include documenting care, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team, and educating patients and caregivers.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• One year of experience in occupational therapy or rehabilitation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist for individual or group therapy.
• Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, balance, and coordination.
• Support gait, transfer training and therapeutic exercise programs.
• Assist patients with assistive devices (walkers, canes, wheelchairs) and educate patients and caregivers.
• Complete clinical documentation accurately and timely per Medicare/regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and participate in team meetings.
• Maintain licensure compliance and participate in ongoing education.
