Job summary

Piedmont Macon Medical is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support patient care under the supervision of a licensed OT. The role includes delivering therapy modalities and following a patient-specific plan, while collaborating with rehab technicians, students, and observers.

The ideal candidate will hold an Associate’s degree from an approved OTA program, possess current Georgia licensure or compact privileges, and have BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree is required.
• No experience is required.
• Current Georgia licensure or compact privileges required.
• BLS certification through AHA required.

Responsibilities

• Functions under the direct supervision of the occupational therapist responsible for a specific patient's care.
• Provides occupational therapy modalities and treatment procedures per the established treatment plan by the occupational therapist.
• Responsible for the care of patients treated by rehabilitation technicians, students, and observers.
• Responsible for orientation and ongoing guidance of assigned staff.

Responsibilities

Functions under the direct supervision of the occupational therapist responsible for a specific patient's care. The certified occupational therapist assistant assumes responsibility and accountability for providing occupational therapy modalities and treatment procedures as determined by a treatment plan established by an occupational therapist. Responsible for the care of patients treated by rehabilitation technicians, students, and observers. Responsible for orientation and ongoing guidance of assigned staff.
