Job summary

Centra Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced or newly graduated Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our San Leandro team on a contract basis. The role involves assisting patients with rehabilitative activities, following a treatment plan, and collaborating with the occupational therapist and interdisciplinary team.

Requirements include an accredited Associate degree or certificate, current California license or in process, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Must have earned an Associates degree or a certificate from a community, technical or vocational college.
• Current state license as an Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) or in the process of licensure.
• Current CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with rehabilitative activities and exercises per the treatment plan.
• Assess learning needs and capabilities of patients and caregivers.
• Demonstrate sound clinical reasoning in planning, implementing, and monitoring progress.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to meet patient goals.

A greatSNF / LTCis looking for an experienced or newly graduated Occupational Therapist Assistant / Occupational Therapy Assistant / COTA to join their growing team for a contract assignment!This is a contract position.Days schedule.

This role assumes responsibility and accountability for incorporating the vision, values, mission and critical goals of the organization into their job performance.

Requirements include:

• Must have earned either an Associates degree from an accredited school or a certificate from either a community, technical or vocational college.
• Current state license as an Occupational Therapist Assistant / Occupational Therapy Assistant/ COTA or proactively in the process of the application process for current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist Assistant / Occupational Therapy Assistant / COTA.
• Current CPR certification.

Assist patients with rehabilitative activities and exercises outlined in a treatment plan developed in collaboration with an occupational therapist.

Assess the learning needs and capabilities of patients and caregivers with regards to age, level of understanding and emotional status.

Demonstrate and articulate sound clinical reasoning in treatment planning, implementation and monitoring of patient's progress.

Effectively collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to meet patients goals.
