Job summary

SSM Health Rehabilitation Network- Home Health in Bridgeton, MO is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) for a full-time role. You will work under the supervision of an OT, assist with therapy plans, and coordinate with staff to ensure high-quality patient care at home.

The position requires active COTA licensure, BLS certification or completion within 90 days, and a valid driver’s license for home visits in Missouri.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant is required.
• BLS certification or completion within first 90 days of employment is required or per state regulations.
• Home Care Requirements: Valid state Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of a licensed OT.
• Assists with the implementation of the therapy plan of care.
• Responsible for delegation and direction of supportive personnel to enhance patient care services.
• Communicates with supervising OT to identify need for assessment, reassessment, and modification of treatment plans.
• Participates in education of patients, families, students, coworkers and self.
• Performs other professional duties within scope of practice

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of a licensed OT

• Responsible for delegation and direction of supportive personnel for those assigned patients, in order to enhance patient care services
• Consistently communicates with supervising OT in regard to scheduled patients to ensure identification of need for assessment and reassessment of patients, modification of treatment plans and other interventions requiring therapist direction
• Participates in education of patients, families, students, coworkers and self
• Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, within the scope of practice
