Job summary

North Florida Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide direct patient care under an occupational therapist's supervision in a part-time daytime role. You will assist with therapeutic interventions, documentation, and compliance while supporting a high standard of rehabilitation services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program culminating in an Associate's degree.
• Current and valid state OTA license or certificate of practice in the states where services are rendered.
• NBCOT certification.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Communicate patient progress or concerns to the supervising occupational therapist and interdisciplinary team.
• Instruct patients' families or nursing staff in follow-through programs and home exercises.
• Assist with patient scheduling and post treatment charges to patient records daily.
• Document patient care accurately and in accordance with all regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements.
• Maintain treatment equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Ensure compliance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, Corporate Compliance Agreement, and applicable laws and professional standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

How you'll contribute
