Job summary

Live Well Homecare in Standish, ME seeks a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to implement OT plans under licensed therapists, document sessions, and help clients perform therapeutic exercises.

The role requires travel within the service area, ability to work independently, and good teamwork; full-time with benefits, Monday-Friday, no weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required and completion of an accredited COTA program with A.A.S. in OT.
• Licensed as COTA/L required.
• Neuro-rehabilitation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer occupational therapy treatments based on plans developed by licensed therapists.
• Document sessions and progress notes.
• Perform therapeutic exercises with participants.
• Fabricate and instruct on splint use.
• Train participants in home and community activities.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members.
• Maintain equipment inventory and ensure confidentiality.
• Manage scheduling and billing logs.
• Perform related duties as needed.

Role:

Maintain equipment inventory, ensure confidentiality, and manage scheduling and billing logs. Perform related duties as needed.

Qualifications:

High school diploma, graduate of an accredited COTA program with A.A.S. in OT, and licensure as COTA/L. Preferred experience in neuro-rehabilitation.

Skills & Requirements:

Knowledge of therapy techniques and equipment, ability to perform therapeutic exercises, and physical capacity to exert force as required. Must be able to travel and work independently without supervision. No supervisory responsibilities.
