Job summary

Allison Care Center is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to support patient care under the supervision of a Staff Therapist. The role emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered service aligned with our organizational mission.

The TA will ensure ethical care, collaborate with team members, and respect resident rights, including privacy and dignity, while rotating across facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited assistant program.
• Successful completion of certificate/licensure for PT/OT assistants.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current licensure as Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care and related activities as directed by Staff Therapist.
• Models respectful, ethical behavior in line with company standards.
• Promotes teamwork and shares information to achieve results.
• Ensures residents are treated with kindness, dignity, and respect.
• Knocks before entering rooms and upholds resident rights.
• Complies with company policies and procedures.
• Treats patients as directed by licensed therapist.
• May travel or float between facilities as needed.

POSITION SUMMARY

Provides patient care and patient related activities as directed by the Staff Therapist and in accordance with established medical practices, governmental requirements and Company policies and procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of an accredited Assistant Program
• Successful completion of certificate/state licensure process for Physical or Occupational Therapy Assistants
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
