Job summary

Uptown Health Care Center is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide patient care under the supervision of a Staff Therapist. You will follow established medical practices and organizational policies while supporting residents’ needs with compassion and professionalism.

Responsibilities include assisting with patient activities, promoting teamwork, and ensuring residents are treated with dignity and respect across facilities as required by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Assistant Program.
• Successful completion of certificate/state licensure process for Physical or Occupational Therapy Assistants.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Commitment to delivering high quality, person-centered care with dignity and respect.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care and related activities as directed by the Staff Therapist and in accordance with policies.
• Models a positive, professional image that aligns with the organization's mission.
• Treats residents with kindness, dignity and respect, protecting their rights.
• Knocks before entering a resident's room and respects personal property rights.
• Travels or floats between facilities as needed by supervisor and patient needs.

POSITION SUMMARY

Provides patient care and patient related activities as directed by the Staff Therapist and in accordance with established medical practices, governmental requirements and Company policies and procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complies with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
• Treat patients as directed by licensed therapist.
• Travel or float between facilities as determined by supervisor and patient needs

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of an accredited Assistant Program
