Job summary

Role Overview: An occupational therapist assesses, plans, and implements rehabilitative programs to restore or improve patients' daily activities, mobility, cognition, strength, coordination, and range of motion. They work across the full care continuum, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective, and compliant services.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment: Collaborate with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment plans, goals, and discharge strategies, involving patients and families.
• Care Provision: Implement and adjust treatment activities, educate patients and families, and provide discharge instructions and community referrals.
• Documentation: Record evaluations, treatment sessions, education, and discharge details per departmental protocols.
• Professional Conduct: Maintain ethical standards, confidentiality, punctuality, appropriate attire, and effective communication. Participate in meetings, training, and quality improvement activities.
• Customer Service & Teamwork: Apply AIDET principles, foster positive interactions, respect patients and colleagues, and promote teamwork and trust.
• Professional Development: Engage in ongoing education, complete required competencies, and assist in training new staff.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program, valid licensure, and certifications including BLS. Effective communication, customer service focus, teamwork, and basic computer skills are essential.
