Job summary

Loyola Medicine in Chicago's western suburbs is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate patients and plan an effective OT program for inpatients and outpatients with diverse diagnoses. You will educate patients, provide discharge planning, supervise staff and students, and contribute to new programs and outcomes research, with a day shift and full-time schedule.

The role requires IL licensure, CPR certification, and 1-3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• 1-3 years of job related experience preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• IL licensure as an Occupational Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and plan/implement an effective OT program for inpatients/outpatients.
• Provide patient education, consultation and discharge planning.
• Supervise and delegate to COTAs, Rehab Technicians and OT students.
• Contribute to development of new programs and outcomes/research within OT Services.

What You’ll Do

The Occupational Therapist evaluates patients, plans and implements an effective Occupational Therapy program based upon assessment, clinical judgement and psychological sensitivity for inpatients and/or outpatients with diverse diagnoses. Provides patient education, consultation and discharge planning, supervises and delegates patient care to Certified Occupational Therapists Assistants, Rehab Technicians and Occupational Therapy students. Contributes to the growth of Occupational Therapy Services by assisting with the development of new programs and outcomes/research activities; acts as an operational and clinical resource for staff in areas of expertise.

Compensation

Pay Range: $32.90-$57.06 per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
