Job summary

Stafford School District is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a 10-month, 0.80 FTE position. You will deliver OT services to students under IEPs, coordinate with teachers and PPTs, document progress, and handle billing and evaluations as part of a collaborative school-based team.

Required CT licensure with strong preference for pediatric/school OT experience. Salary is hourly with competitive benefits and holidays.

POSITION: Occupational Therapist (10-Months, .80 FTE; Schedule to be Determined)

LOCATION: Stafford School District

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides direct OT services to students in accordance with their IEPs
• Consults with team members (teachers, paraeducators, providers, etc.) regarding student needs and effective delivery of occupational therapy services in accordance with students’ IEPs
• Conducts ongoing progress monitoring, analyzes student data, and adjusts service delivery accordingly
• Participates in PPT meetings
• Completes Progress Reports in CTSEDS in alignment with report cards and or annual review PPTs
• Completes Medicaid Billing in a timely manner
• Recommends appropriate fine motor and/or sensory processing evaluations at PPTs
• Conducts comprehensive fine motor and/or sensory processing evaluations to determine eligibility for OT services and to identify areas of need
• Maintains confidentiality as appropriate
• Collaborates with school staff and administration
• Other related task as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist in Connecticut
• Experience with pediatric or school-based OT preferred

SALARY / BENEFITS:

$45.00 - $65.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
