Job summary

West Haven Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a part-time or PRN opportunity. You will help patients regain independence across physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges in a collaborative healthcare setting.

Responsibilities include evaluating and treating diverse diagnoses, developing individualized plans, conducting daily therapy sessions, documenting progress, and coordinating with physicians, nurses, and therapists.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure and registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and staff members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve patients' functional abilities and overall quality of life.
  • Conduct daily occupational therapy sessions, using a variety of techniques and strategies to achieve patient goals.
  • Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and physical therapists, to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and make recommendations for improvement.
