Americare Therapy Services Inc. is hiring an Occupational Therapist to deliver physician-prescribed therapy in patients' homes. You will work with the healthcare team to monitor progress, adjust plans, and communicate patient status to physicians and care teams.

A NY license is required, with CAOTE-accredited education and a strong record of initiative and independent work. The position offers comprehensive medical, dental and vision benefits, a 401K plan with company match, a $10K sign-on

Responsibilities

The Occupational Therapist provides physician‑prescribed occupational therapy to improve or minimize residual physical disabilities of the patient. Maintains ongoing communication with the Physician, healthcare team, and other individuals as needed regarding aspects of care and patient’s status. Communicates with Americare Therapy Services as needed regarding issues related to Rehab services and indicated patient care.

Qualifications

• TWO (2) years of experience, preferred.
• Licensed by The State of New York as an Occupational Therapist.
• Graduate from an Occupational therapist curriculum approved by one of the following: The Commission on Accreditation in Occupational Therapy education (CAOTE) or successor organizations of CAOTE.
• Ability to exercise initiative, work independently and have proactive communication skills.
