Job summary

Sandstone of Tucson is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our interdisciplinary care team in a skilled nursing/long-term care setting. Full-time or PRN opportunities are available, with competitive pay and a supportive environment.

Responsibilities include evaluating residents, creating individualized plans, and collaborating with nursing and medical staff. NBCOT certification and AZ OT license are required, with emphasis on resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• OT degree (BA/BS, MS, or DPT) from an accredited program.
• NBCOT certification required.
• Active Arizona OT license.
• Experience in skilled nursing or rehab setting preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents’ functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve daily living skills, mobility, and independence.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and therapy team members.
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge plans in accordance with regulations.
• Educate residents and families on adaptive techniques and equipment.
