Ambercare Homecare in Silver City NM is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our growing team. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, serving Silver City and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association.

Responsibilities

• Provides occupation therapy services to patients according to a written physicians plan of care and as defined in the state Occupational Therapy Practice Act.
• Develops treatment program and establishes goals for improved function.
• Communicates plan of care to referring physician and other organization professionals as needed.
• May teach new skills or retrain patient in daily activities that have been affected by illness or injury.
• May fabricate splints and instruct patient in the use of adaptive equipment to improve function.
• May train patient in the use of prosthetic and/or orthotic devices.
• Maintains appropriate clinical records and reports to the physician any changes in the patient's condition; submits records as required.
• Maintains contact with other personnel involved in the patient's care to promote coordinated efficient care.

What Youll Do

Qualifications
