Arlington Health and Rehabilitation is a senior care organization that provides services within a Skilled Nursing Facility with an in-house therapy model. The organization focuses on supporting older adults who require both short-term rehabilitation , long-term residential care, and outpatient rehabilitation. Team members collaborate to deliver person-centered care that promotes safety, comfort, and dignity. Occupational therapy professionals have the opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary environment focused on improving quality of life for residents and short-stay patients.


Role Description

The Occupational Therapist is a full-time, on-site role located in the Greater Seattle Area. This position is responsible for evaluating residents’ functional abilities, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing evidence-informed interventions to improve independence in daily living activities. Day-to-day tasks include conducting assessments, providing therapeutic exercises and activities, training in adaptive equipment use, and documenting progress in accordance with regulatory and facility standards. The Occupational Therapist collaborates closely with nursing, rehabilitation, and medical teams, communicates with residents and families about care plans, and participates in care conferences to support safe transitions and ongoing continuity of care.


Qualifications


  • Demonstrated proficiency in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation, including assessment, treatment planning, and delivery of therapeutic interventions.

  • Knowledge of Medicine and clinical best practices relevant to skilled nursing and assisted living settings.

  • Strong Communication skills for interacting with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

  • Experience or interest in working with older adult populations, adapting care to diverse age groups and functional needs.

  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist; graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for skilled nursing and assisted living facilities is beneficial.

  • CPR certification and experience in geriatric or post-acute care settings are preferred.
