Job summary

SSM Health Rehabilitation and Select Specialty Hospitals is hiring Occupational Therapists to evaluate patients, develop and modify treatment plans, and deliver therapy in person across multiple Missouri locations including Bridgeton, Lake St. Louis, Richmond Heights, Florissant, and Arnold.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, planning and adjusting treatments, directing therapy services, and contributing to discharge planning and education for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Certified BLS or completion of BLS within the first 90 days of employment.
• One or more years of clinical experience and a valid state driver’s license for home care responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans according to patient needs and physician direction.
• Delegate and direct all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients.
• Design functional treatment programs that facilitate an effective return to community activities.
• Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, co‑workers, and self.
• Perform additional professional duties related to patient care, therapy service development, and program delivery.
• Evaluate the patient’s level of functioning and develop an individualized treatment plan aligned with patient and family goals.
• Participate in discharge planning, including placement, patient and family education, and adaptive equipment.

• SSH - Richmond Heights | St. Louis, MO (inside SSM Health St. Mary Hospital) - PRN
• SSM Day Institute - Florissant - Full-Time
• SSM Day Institute - Arnold - PRN
