Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. provides home-based Occupational Therapy for infants and toddlers, delivering services in families' homes and community settings across California. Therapists assess development, implement OT plans, and support IFSP goals with a family-centered coaching approach.

Licensure as an Occupational Therapist is required, with pediatric/early intervention experience preferred. Flexible scheduling and mileage reimbursement are offered, along with a tech stipend and

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide occupational therapy services using the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s IFSP and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach developmental goals
• Utilize family-centered parent coaching to build caregivers’ confidence and ensure progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment (homes, daycare centers, community settings); virtual services also available

Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide occupational therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings; virtual services also currently available
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements

• California Occupational Therapy license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
