Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking an Occupational Therapist to assist patients in restoring functional ability through evaluation and treatment across musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary and integumentary systems. The role involves comprehensive assessment, goal setting, and collaboration with the care team.

Required are a Master’s/Doctoral degree in OT, state licensure and NBCOT, CPR within 90 days, and, when applicable, a driving evaluation license.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy.
• State license and National Board Certification Occupational Therapy registration.
• Current state driver's license for those providing Driving Evaluations.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate to the population served.
• Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other treatment team members.
• Analytical ability to evaluate patients' Occupational and functional status, establish therapy goals, formulate treatment plans, and observe progress.
• Excellent computer skills and the ability to process detailed information accurately.

Expected pay for this position is $39.13 - $46.03/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.

Education:

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy

Licensure/Certifications:

• State license and National Board Certification Occupational Therapy registration
• Current state driver's license for those providing Driving Evaluations
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire

Other skills/knowledge:

• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate to the population served
• Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills work well with others and to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other treatment team members when gathering and exchanging patient condition information
• Analytical ability to evaluate patients' Occupational and functional status, establish therapy goals, formulate treatment plans consistent with goals, observe patients and document status, and assist techs and assistants in resolving problems
• Excellent computer skills and the ability to process detailed information in an accurate manner

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous work experience as an Occupational Therapist
• Valid driver's license
