Job summary

OSF HealthCare seeks an Occupational Therapist to help restore patients' functional abilities through comprehensive evaluation and targeted treatment. The role covers musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary and integumentary systems as they relate to functional mobility.

The successful candidate will have a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy, state license and NBCOT registration, CPR within 90 days, and a valid driver’s license for driving evaluations.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• State license and National Board Certification Occupational Therapy registration.
• Current state driver’s license for those providing Driving Evaluations.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Demonstrate knowledge to provide patient care appropriate to population served.
• Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication with patients and treatment team.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in the restoration of occupational function through evaluation and treatment.
• Perform examination and evaluation of patients' status including musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary and integumentary systems.
• Gather information from patient chart, patient and family, or other source as appropriate.
• Collaborate with treatment team and support staff to achieve therapy goals.

Expected pay for this position is $39.13 - $46.03/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Occupational Therapist assists patients in the restoration of occupational function through evaluation and treatment. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy

Licensure/Certifications:

• State license and National Board Certification Occupational Therapy registration
• Current state driver’s license for those providing Driving Evaluations
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire

Other skills/knowledge:

• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate to the population served
• Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills work well with others and to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other treatment team members when gathering and exchanging patient condition information
• Analytical ability to evaluate patients' Occupational and functional status, establish therapy goals, formulate treatment plans consistent with goals, observe patients and document status, and assist techs and assistants in resolving problems
• Excellent computer skills and the ability to process detailed information in an accurate manner

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous work experience as an Occupational Therapist
• Valid driver's license
