Job summary

Berks County Intermediate Unit is seeking an Occupational Therapist to help children access their educational programs through evaluation and therapy as needed.

The role involves performing initial and re-evaluations, assessing functional strengths and weaknesses, demonstrating therapy programs to staff, and collaborating within the classroom and with the school team.

Experience working with students with disabilities is valued and you will join a dedicated education team in Berks County.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• PA State Certification/License.
• Knowledge of and experience with neuro-developmental and sensory motor system.
• Experience working with students with various levels of disabilities in pre-school, school-age, and/or transition to adult life programs.
• Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of special education.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial evaluation and re-evaluation of children.

• Provide appropriate staff with demonstration of Occupational Therapy programs and services.
