Job summary

Boothby Therapy Services LLC is seeking Occupational Therapists (OTs) for school-based positions in Maine. We offer full- and part-time roles for the 2026-2027 school year, supporting students in public school / special education settings.

OTs will provide school-based therapy, conduct evaluations, develop IEP goals, and deliver direct sessions. Collaboration with teachers and specialists, with opportunities for future placements, is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Active Maine Occupational Therapist license (required).
• Degree in Occupational Therapy (Bachelor's, Master's, or OTD).
• Experience or interest in pediatrics, school-based therapy, or special education.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide school-based occupational therapy services to students.
• Conduct OT evaluations and assessments.
• Develop and implement IEP goals.
• Deliver direct therapy (individual and small group).
• Support students with fine motor skills/handwriting, sensory processing, executive functioning, and ADLs.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, PTs, and SLPs.
• Recommend accommodations, adaptive equipment, and assistive technology.
• Participate in IEP meetings and team discussions.
• Maintain documentation, progress notes, and compliance records.

Key Responsibilities – Occupational Therapist (OT)

• Provide school-based occupational therapy services to students
• Conduct OT evaluations and assessments
• Develop and implement IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals
• Deliver direct therapy (individual and small group sessions)
• Support students with:
  • Fine motor skills and handwriting
  • Sensory processing and sensory integration
  • Executive functioning and organization
  • Activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, PTs, and SLPs
• Recommend accommodations, adaptive equipment, and assistive technology
