Job summary

Dignity Health's St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Occupational Therapist to restore independence and quality of life for patients.

You will assess diverse conditions, create and adjust treatment plans, and collaborate with a wide interdisciplinary team in a high-volume hospital environment. Expected to document thoroughly, meet productivity standards, and participate in ongoing education while providing motivating, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program and Internship or rotation in appropriate clinical setting.
• Arizona Occupational Therapist licensure (AZ) required or pending.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support required.

Responsibilities

• Assess diverse patients (orthopedic, neurological, sensory, cancer recovery, etc.) and develop treatment plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams; document thoroughly and manage high patient volume.
• Complete treatment minutes documentation and enter electronic charges accurately and timely.
• Participate in continuing education and advance skills aligned with department goals.
• Complete competencies for clinical areas and participate in relevant committees or task forces.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Occupational Therapist, you will help patients regain independence and quality of life so they can safely perform daily activities.

Every day you will assess diverse patients (orthopedic, neurological, sensory, cancer recovery, etc.), develop treatment plans, and conduct evaluations/re-evaluations. You will be expected to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, document thoroughly, and provide positive, motivating care to a high volume of patients.

To be successful in this role, you must be flexible, adaptable, exceptionally organized, and a personable, motivating team player.

• Meets or exceeds the productivity standard on an individual basis.

• Meets or exceeds the productivity standard at the department level.

• Completes documentation of treatment minutes and enters electronic charges accurately and timely.

• Participates in continuing education and develops advanced skills that enhance and align with department, clinical and business development.

• Participates on internal/external task force, committee or board appropriate to diagnostic program per manager approval.

• Completes general and specialty competencies appropriate to clinical area for patient care management (General, ICU, FIM, DBS, Lung Transplant, Behavior management, MBS, FEES, etc).

Required

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program and Internship or rotation in appropriate clinical setting

Preferred

• Master's degree in appropriate clinical area,

• Doctorate Of Science Doctorate degree inappropriate clinical area

• 2 years progressive experience in clinical area, performing patient clinical care

Pay Range

$39.18 - $58.28 /hour
