Job summary

Flagship Therapy's Orem Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Utah is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist for our in-house rehab program. This full-time role involves screening, evaluation, and delivering rehabilitative care to geriatric patients, including wound care and functional recovery.

New grads are welcome and a current OT license is required. You will document discharge summaries, collaborate with families and care teams, and contribute to a supportive, values-driven work

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions.
• Assist with standing/walking, lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment as needed.
• Administer procedures as part of the rehab plan (manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, assistive devices, wound care).
• Provide consultation to patients, families, caregivers, and other providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Orem Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Orem, UT, is a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric services provided. We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking a dedicated Full Time Occupational Therapist for our in-house rehab program!

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Qualifications

Occupational Therapist license is required.
Open to Occupational Therapist at all experience levels. New Grads are welcome!
