NovaCare, Odenton, Maryland – Outpatient Occupational Therapist

Orthopedics, Industrial Rehabilitation, and Neurology specialization. 6–8 hours per week. Compensation: $40–$55 per hour.

Overview

NovaCare seeks experienced OTs to deliver exceptional care in our outpatient orthopedic center, helping patients return to activities they love.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient OT services for orthopedics, neuro, and upper‑extremity diagnoses.
• Develop objective patient goals in collaboration with referring physicians.
• Implement evidence‑based interventions and document patient progress.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary clinical team, including neurology & vestibular rehab, concussion management, amputee care, oncology & lymphedema, and industrial rehab (FCEs & POETs).
• Maintain compliance with the state Practice Act and federal regulations.
• Follow best practices: stay current with OT research and employ evidence‑based practice.
• Build and maintain relationships with referral sources and patients.
• Participate in the design and implementation of new programs or procedures under manager approval and HIPAA guidelines.
• Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment programs and ensure timely documentation.
• Supervise and delegate OT care within state and federal regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• At least one year of outpatient OT experience (recent graduates with fieldwork considered).
• Experience with orthopedic, neuro, and upper‑extremity diagnoses.
• Graduate of an accredited OT program.
• State OT license (or license eligible).
• CPR certification.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• CHT certification not required.

Schedule Details

• Flexible hours based on availability – 2–3 days per week.
• Steady 6–8 hours per week (3 P–7 P or 4 P–8 P).
• Additional coverage opportunities in Anne Arundel, PG County, and Howard County outpatient orthopedic centers.
