Job summary

Ditmas Children’s Nursing & Rehab in New York is seeking a full-time Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our rehabilitation team. You will work with a dynamic interdisciplinary group to support children across a range of needs.

Requirements include a Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy, NY State OT license, BLS certification, and excellent verbal and written communication. New graduates welcome.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university
• New York State License in Occupational Therapy
• BLS Certification
• Excellent verbal and written communication

Responsibilities

• Assess developmental milestones including physical presentation, neuromuscular status, perceptual motor functioning, and sensory integration affecting occupational performance.
• Evaluate cognition, sensation, psychosocial performance, functional mobility, and physical presentation required for occupational performance.
• Assess and fit DME; write letters of medical necessity as needed.
• Create and implement treatment plans to progress children towards their goals.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, and therapists.
