Job summary

Sunny Days Early Childhood Developmental Services, Inc. (Sunny Days) seeks part-time therapists and independent contractors to serve New Jersey families. Roles include occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech-language pathology in pediatric settings.

We offer flexible schedules, diverse home and community settings, and opportunities to mentor families and caregivers while supporting children from birth to three years with developmental needs.

Qualifications

• New Jersey Occupational Therapy license required.
• Experience in Early Intervention or equivalent pediatric settings.
• Pediatric experience required.
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
• Technology proficient for documentation and communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental screening/assessments and provide Occupational Therapy services.
• Follow IFSP and develop methodologies to reach each child’s goals.
• Coach families and caregivers on intervention strategies for home and community use.
• Provide services in homes, daycare centers, and other community settings.
• Ensure progress is generalized with caregiver participation and team communication.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and regulations.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental screening/assessments, provide Occupational Therapy services and consult with family members and other professionals working with the family
• Follow Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and develop methodologies for reaching each child’s specific developmental goals
• Coach family members and caregivers on various intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over in both home and at community settings
• Provide services in diverse settings such as homes, daycare centers, and/or other community settings
• Ensure that progress is generalized and caregivers are active participants in intervention through addressing specific goals, coaching sessions, and communication with the entire team
• Prepare progress reports
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements

• New Jersey Occupational Therapy (OT) license
• Early Intervention Experience OR Equivalent Experience
• Pediatric Experience
• Home Based Service Delivery Experience (preferred)
• Strong Clinical & Interpersonal Skills
• Excellent Written & Oral Communication Skills
