Job summary

Volunteers of America National Services (VOANS) is hiring an Occupational Therapist to join Home Health of Western Colorado in Montrose, CO. This full-time role requires licensed OT in Colorado, travel to patient homes, and a Monday–Friday 8-hour shift.

You’ll assess clients, plan therapy, supervise assistants, and collaborate with a compassionate, mission-driven team. VOANS offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Licensed or registered in Colorado as an Occupational Therapist.
• Graduate from an OT program or eligible for AOTA certification.
• Minimum of one year experience as an OT.
• Valid driver’s license and transportation availability.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates clients and provides Occupational Therapy upon physician order.
• Supervises OT assistants and rehabilitation aides in direct care.
• Plans, coordinates and evaluates OT services within the department.
• Performs duties as directed by the Director of Clinical Services.
• Comply with the Occupational Therapy Practice Act in the state.

Pay Range: $45.75 - $50.35 per hour based on experience.

Schedule: Fulltime, Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts.

This position requires travel between patient homes.

What You Bring (Requirements)

• Must be licensed or registered in the state of Coloardo as an Occupational Therapist.
• Graduate from an Occupational Therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association or is eligible for certification by the American Occupational Therapy Association under its requirements.
• A minimum of one year experience as an Occupational Therapist.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and have means of transportation.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Evaluates clients and provides Occupational Therapy upon the written order of the client's attending physician.
• Manages and supervises the Occupational Therapy assistants and/or rehabilitation aides in direct client care and client-related activities.
• Plans, implements, coordinates and evaluates the Occupational Therapy offered by the department (i.e.: assist with scheduling, transportation, filing, and mailing).
• Performs other duties or special assignments as directed by the Director of Clinical Services.
• Comply with the Occupational Therapy Practice Act in the state.
