Vetted Solutions is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide diagnostic evaluations and design treatment plans that help patients regain functional abilities and reintegrate into the community.
The role involves fabricating splints, guiding adaptive techniques, educating patients and families, and collaborating with the care team to deliver high-quality care.
Role & Responsibilities: The OT provides diagnostic evaluations and develops treatment plans to enhance patients' functional abilities, enabling community reintegration within their capabilities. Responsibilities include designing therapeutic exercises, instructing patients in adaptive techniques, fabricating splints and adaptive devices, and conducting home assessments. The therapist offers therapy for neurological and traumatic brain injury patients, focusing on improving judgment, coordination, and organizational skills. They also educate patients and families on energy conservation, safety, and personal care, and participate in patient support groups. Additionally, they develop home programs and collaborate with team members.
Qualifications & Skills: Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy, current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Association, and preferably possess one year of experience. Essential skills include strong leadership, customer service orientation, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and the ability to use adaptive equipment tools. The role requires independent decision-making, active listening, objective evaluation, and adherence to safety, confidentiality, and community policies.
Key Duties: Conduct evaluations, maintain accurate records, design and implement therapy programs, fabricate splints and adaptive equipment, provide prevention and pre-vocational therapy, and participate in team and support groups. The OT must comply with all safety, privacy, and organizational policies while delivering high-quality patient care.
