Job summary

The Bone & Joint Center in Minot, ND is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist specialized in hand therapy for outpatient care. This role offers a Monday–Friday schedule (8 am–5 pm) with no weekends or on-call requirements and a competitive hourly salary plus incentive potential.

Responsibilities include comprehensive patient evaluations, treatment planning, and coordination with surgeons and staff. Qualification includes ND OT license; CHT preferred.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.
  • Current North Dakota Occupational Therapy license.
  • Preferred: CHT Certification.

  • Develop treatment plans and identify goals and activities to reach those goals.
  • Instruct and counsel patients on therapeutic regimens.

  • Maintain infection-control policies and a clean, safe work environment.

Job Location: The Bone & Joint Center Minot - Minot, ND 58701Position Type: Full TimeThe Bone & Joint Center is seeking a full time OT - Hand Therapist!

Location: Minot, ND Setting: Outpatient clinic only

  • - Full time: 40 hours, Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm hours (Potential to be flexible with part time schedule)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIES
  • Assess patients through interview, observation, and reviewing clinical histories.
  • Knowledge/complete evaluation techniques for accurate collection of objective physical history
  • Develop treatment plans, identify specific goals and the types of activities that will be used to help the patient work toward those goals.
  • Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens.
  • Demonstrate and incorporate knowledge of current research into daily treatment of patients.
  • Promotes and maintains health by providing occupational therapy services; administers medically prescribed occupational therapy treatment programs for patients.
  • Assessment and application of splints/braces as a part of the treatment plan.
  • Effective and consistent communication with orthopaedic physicians, nursing, and other team members.
  • Demonstrates flexibility in daily duties and schedule.
  • Efficiently documents patient services using the electronic Medical Records system.
  • Maintains confidentially
  • Oversee Occupational Therapy Assistants and students as they provide patient care, treatment or other services.
  • Attend ongoing education and training to ensure excellence in the treatment of patients.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, and adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Maintains legal and accreditation compliance by adhering to policy positions concerning federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintains professional appearance and personal conduct at all times.
  • Attends meetings as requested.
  • Reports to the Occupational Therapy Supervisor
  • Adheres to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and quality control methods.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading periodicals, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
  • Thorough knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices
  • Knowledge of Upper Extremity surgical procedures and rehab protocols.

  • Knowledge of CPT coding procedures, ICD10, L Codes (DME)
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to operate various electronic systems
  • Ability to operate telephone with voice mail.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
  • Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program
  • Current North Dakota Occupational Therapy license
  • Preferred: CHT Certification
LANGUAGE/MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
  • Ability to read, write and speak the English language along with medical terminology.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
  • Ability to solve problems
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
