The Bone & Joint Center in Minot, ND is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist for our outpatient clinic. You will evaluate and treat orthopedic patients, manage a caseload, and document care in the EMR while collaborating with our orthopedic team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, test, and assess orthopaedic patients.
  • Plan, organize, and deliver physical therapy treatment.
  • Manage a patient caseload.
  • Complete thorough chart review, documentation, and billing.
  • Communicate with patients, physicians, and staff.
  • Provide education and consulting services.
  • Assist in department operations.
  • Promotes and maintains health by providing physical therapy services; administers treatment programs for patients with varying disabilities, injuries, and diseases to also include post-surgical recovery.
  • Follows and adheres to accepted clinical practice guidelines of The Bone & Joint Center.
  • Utilizes tools and techniques to administer physical therapy interventions and safeguards.
  • Assesses patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations, and obtaining updating, and studying therapy histories.
  • Documents patient care services by charting patient and department records using the electronic Medical Records system.
  • Knowledge of and utilization of appropriate age-related treatments and evaluations related to the needs of patients in order to help patients recover and improve their functional limitations in movement and mobility, relieve pain, increase strength and prevent disabilities.
  • Demonstrate and incorporate knowledge of current research into daily treatment of patients.
  • Maintains patient records confidentially
  • Collaborates with the entire Bone & Joint Center team and provides professional recommendations regarding patient care.
  • May be asked to supervise assistants, aides and students as they provide patient care, treatment or other services.
  • Expected to attend ongoing education and provide training to peers in the area of expertise as determined by the Department Supervisor.
  • Participation in protocol development and assisting in the Orthopedic Update Conference, hosted by The Bone & Joint Center.
  • Performs therapeutic procedures by administering manual exercises and instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, such as therapeutic exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities.
  • Helps patients in using supportive devices, such as assistive devices, orthotics, and prostheses.
  • Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens, and when appropriate, supervises family/significant others in implementing best practices for patients’ condition

Salary Range: $71,323.20 - $102,710.40

Location: Minot, ND

Setting: Outpatient clinic only

  • Full time: 40 hours, Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm hours
  • Part Time: 32 hours
  • No Weekends, No Holidays, No Call
  • Competitive local salary, $34.29 to $48/hour, with quarterly incentive bonus potential

Physical Therapist Job Description:
