Job summary

Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated Full-Time, in-person Occupational Therapist to serve students in a school setting in Madison Heights, MI. The caseload covers 35-40 students through 8th grade across three buildings, with evaluations and direct services provided on-site.

The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers, families and staff, with a focus on independence, participation and academic success. MI licensure is required or eligible to obtain.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• Active MI Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility) is required.
• Experience in a school setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IEP processes and goal development is required.
• Ability to conduct evaluations, interpret assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Excellent communication, documentation, collaboration and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and re-evaluations to identify students' needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals.
• Provide direct and indirect OT services to students.
• Support students in developing fine motor, visual-motor, sensory processing, self-care and functional skills for school participation.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators and related service providers to support student success.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development, accommodations and progress monitoring.
• Recommend adaptive equipment, classroom modifications and intervention strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports and compliance records.

Pay Rate: Starting rate $45.00/hr

We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time, In-Person Occupational Therapist to provide services within a supportive school setting. The caseload is 35-40 students, up to 8th grade. OT will be needed at 3 buildings.

What You'll Need

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Active MI Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility to obtain)

• Ability to conduct evaluations, interpret assessment results, and develop individualized treatment plans
