Job summary

Birch Agency in Michigan is seeking a Full-Time, in-person Occupational Therapist to serve students in a school setting. The caseload ranges 35-40 students through 8th grade across three buildings in Madison Heights.

Ideal candidates hold a Master's in OT, MI license, and experience in schools with IEP processes, evaluation, and goal development. Responsibilities include evaluations, developing goals, direct/indirect services, collaboration with staff and families, and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active MI Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility to obtain).
• Experience working in a school setting preferred.
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and goal development.
• Ability to conduct evaluations, interpret results and develop treatment plans.
• Excellent communication, documentation, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and re-evaluations to identify students' needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals.
• Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students.
• Support students in developing fine motor and functional school skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and progress monitoring.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and classroom modifications as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance records.

Pay Rate: Starting rate $45.00/hr

Description: Are you passionate about helping students develop the skills they need to succeed in the educational environment? We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time, In-Person Occupational Therapist to provide services within a supportive school setting. The caseload is 35-40 students, up to 8th grade. OT will be needed at 3 buildings.

What You'll Need

• Recommend and support the use of adaptive equipment, classroom modifications, and intervention strategies
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance records in accordance with district and state requirements
