Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ functional abilities, limitations, and needs related to ADLs.
• Develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on goals.
• Provide interventions to improve independence, safety, mobility, and quality of life.
• Assist patients with ADLs and IADLs.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications when appropriate.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safety strategies, exercises, and techniques to promote independence.
• Monitor progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
• Document visits per clinical and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate with physicians, caregivers, and the multidisciplinary care team.
• Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and professional standards.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in the home setting.
• Accept visits based on availability and patient needs.

Role Overview

As a PRN Occupational Therapist at BrightStar Care, you will provide one-on-one occupational therapy services to patients in the comfort of their own homes throughout the Lucas area.

You’ll work closely with patients, families, and our clinical team to develop individualized treatment plans that promote independence, safety, mobility, and overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

Required

• Current, unrestricted Occupational Therapist license in the State of Texas.
