Job summary

BrightStar Care in Richland Hills, TX is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist to deliver one-on-one home health services to patients in their homes across the Richland Hills area. You will work closely with patients, families, and the clinical team to develop individualized plans that promote independence, safety, mobility, and overall quality of life.

This flexible PRN position allows you to accept visits based on your availability and patient needs.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Occupational Therapist license in the State of Texas.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your schedule effectively.
• Attention to clinical detail and good judgment.
• Proficiency in English.
• Reliable transportation to travel to patients’ homes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and needs related to daily activities.
• Develop individualized OT treatment plans.
• Provide home-based OT interventions to improve independence and safety.
• Assist patients with ADLs and IADLs.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safety strategies and exercises.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Document visits in line with regulatory requirements.
• Communicate with physicians, caregivers, and the care team.
• Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations.

Role Overview

As a PRN Occupational Therapist at BrightStar Care, you will provide one-on-one occupational therapy services to patients in the comfort of their own homes throughout the Richland Hills area.

You’ll work closely with patients, families, and our clinical team to develop individualized treatment plans that promote independence, safety, mobility, and overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ functional abilities, limitations, and needs related to daily living activities.
• Develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on each patient’s goals and needs.
• Provide therapeutic interventions designed to improve independence, safety, mobility, and quality of life.
• Assist patients with improving their ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
• Recommend adaptive equipment, techniques, and environmental modifications when appropriate.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safety strategies, exercises, and techniques to promote independence.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
• Document visits accurately and in accordance with clinical and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, caregivers, and the multidisciplinary care team.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations and professional standards.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while working independently in the home environment.
• Accept visits based on your availability and patient needs.

Qualifications

Required:

This is a PRN, home-based Occupational Therapist position serving patients throughout the (CITY), Texas area.

You’ll have the flexibility to accept available patient visits based on your schedule and patient needs. Hours and visits are not guaranteed and may vary based on patient census and availability.
